Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi announces a tour: here are all the dates. New album “E poi scegliere con cura le parole” on the way

17-02-2026

Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi has announced the first dates of the tour supporting the release of his new album “E poi scegliere con cura le parole”, out March 20th on Woodworm Label. A return to the live stage built on voice, words and silence, with a stripped-back setup that puts interpretation and the weight of the lyrics front and center.

The tour will be an opportunity to present the album's new songs live alongside moments of storytelling, in an intimate, direct format designed to foster a close dialogue with the audience. Writing and intention remain the core of the project, consistent with the title: every word is carefully weighed, every silence takes on a narrative function. Tickets available online.

Confirmed dates:

  • March 20 – Busto Arsizio (VA), BAFF – Teatro San Giovanni Bosco
  • April 10 – Turin, CPG Torino
  • April 23 – Como, Strade Blu – Nerolidio Music Factory (talk + mini live)
  • May 2 – Pesaro, Urbica
  • June 6 – Cormons (GO), Flux Judri Festival – Teatro Comunale (acoustic mini live)

The album comes at the end of a journey that began before the pandemic and was reconsidered several times along the way. Preceded on January 30 by the EP “A tutti i costi” and the singles “Veloce” and “Anni zero”, the project shapes an expressive framework that Giovanardi describes as the most carefully considered of his recent career: a work shot through with existential tension yet approached with a “thoughtful lightness”, an explicit nod to Italo Calvino's “Lezioni Americane”.

During the pandemic hiatus, Giovanardi put the album on hold to focus on a new chapter of La Crus, culminating in the release of “Proteggimi da ciò che voglio” in April 2024, an isolated episode within their respective solo careers. Picked back up and completed in 2022, the album now finds a definitive shape that reflects the layers of its long creative process.

Sonically, “E poi scegliere con cura le parole” was born out of a collaboration with Leziero Rescigno, who co-signs the artistic production, alongside LeLe Battista on recording. The framework is that of contemporary singer-songwriter fare woven with electronic textures that revisit Eighties new wave coordinates, keeping the voice as the expressive pivot.

Live, the project will be presented as a stripped-down trio, with two keyboard stations evoking an Anglo-American new wave imagery. A setup that redefines the artist's aesthetic without altering his interpretive signature or emotional tension.

On the lyrical side, the album is the result of collaborative work. Among the writers involved are Francesco Bianconi, Colapesce, Kaballà and Alessandro Cremonesi, brought in to build a genuine collective workshop of words.
