Lana Del Rey: listen to new single "White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter", the preview of her upcoming album

"White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter", the new single by Lana Del Rey, is out now, the first piece of her tenth studio album expected in spring.

The track was written by the New York singer-songwriter together with her sister Chuck Grant, her brother-in-law Jason Pickens and her husband Jeffrey Dufrene. Production is credited to Lana Del Rey herself, alongside Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson, who handled the string arrangements. The mix was done by Dean Reid and Laura Sisk. "White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter" follows the 2025 singles "Henry, Come On" and "Bluebird", and precedes an album expected in about three months. The record will arrive three years after "Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd", released in March 2023.

In recent days, the American singer-songwriter has shared a few updates on the new album, long awaited and repeatedly delayed. The record will be the follow-up to "Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd" from 2023, which she had already started talking about back in 2025. Over the months, the project has changed identity more than once: originally titled "Lasso", it was later renamed "The Right Person Will Stay", with release plans shifting first to May and then to September 2025.

In August of the same year, Del Rey had announced yet another title change to "Stove", explaining that the album would "most likely come out at the end of January" 2026. Now, however, the artist has made clear that it will still be a while before the final release.

Right after talking about the single, she added: "I know, I know, I know, I know, you're asking me about the record, but honestly it'll be out soon, because the final stages take three months, so three months plus a couple of weeks." She went on: "It might vary slightly, but beyond that I really want you to focus on the single, because I'm really happy with it."

Del Rey finally revealed that “White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” includes songwriting credits from her husband Jeremy as well, with production handled, among others, by Jack Antonoff.
