Lana Del Rey announces new single: here's “White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter”

08-02-2026

Lana Del Rey has announced the release of a new single, titled "White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter", also revealing that her next album will arrive "soon". The announcement came via an Instagram story in which the artist spoke directly to fans. "Guys, I just wanted to leave you a quick message to tell you that my new single, and my favorite song… this is the one I've been waiting for… 'White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter' comes out on February 17th", she said.

The American singer-songwriter then gave some updates on the long-awaited, repeatedly delayed new album. The record will serve as the follow-up to “Did You Know That There's A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd” from 2023, which she had already begun talking about back in 2025. Over the following months the project changed identity more than once: initially titled “Lasso”, it was later renamed “The Right Person Will Stay”, with a release date first set for May and then pushed to September 2025.

In August of the same year, Del Rey had announced yet another title change to "Stove", explaining that the album would "most likely come out at the end of January" 2026. Now, however, the artist has made clear that it will still be a while before the final release.

Right after talking about the single, she added: "I know, I know, I know, I know, you're asking me about the record, but honestly it'll be out soon, because the final stages take three months, so three months plus a couple of weeks." She went on: "It might vary slightly, but beyond that I really want you to focus on the single, because I'm really happy with it."

Del Rey finally revealed that “White Feather-Hawk Tail Deer Hunter” includes songwriting credits from her husband Jeremy as well, with production handled, among others, by Jack Antonoff.
