On Wednesday, September 2, Cesare Cremonini will hit primetime on Rai 1 with “Roma, baby. Cremonini Live Circo Massimo”, a special dedicated to the massive concert held in the Capital last June 6.
The documentary, running roughly two and a half hours, will retrace the key moments of the night at Circo Massimo: not just Cremonini's performance, but also his duets with Jovanotti, Elisa and Luca Carboni.
Footage from the stage will be interwoven with previously unseen behind-the-scenes sequences, from the setup process to the moments before and after the show. The concert was directed by Stefano Vicario, while Greg Williams handled the cinematic account of the backstage action and the event's stage design.
“Roma, baby. Cremonini Live Circo Massimo” is a co-production between A1 Pictures, Logico and Live Nation Italy.
Over more than twenty-five years of career, Cremonini has built a repertoire spanning different generations, racking up radio hits and songs that have become permanent fixtures of the Italian pop imagination. It's an artistic growth that has turned his concerts into a collective experience capable of drawing in very different audiences. On the stage of "Cremonini Live26" the artist switches between piano, guitar, accordion and saxophone, an instrument that has become one of his musical passions in recent years. He's backed by a sizeable band and a production of international scope, all in service of a setlist that retraces the main stages of his artistic journey.
