The Cranberries: reissue of debut album “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?” on the way

A celebratory reissue of “Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?”, the debut album by the Cranberries, will be released on May 22nd, available in various formats enriched with bonus material.

The new editions include Spanish-language versions of the singles “Linger” and “Dreams”, a remix of “Linger” by Iain Cook, as well as new stereo mixes created by original producer Stephen Street and expanded liner notes.

Released on March 1st, 1993, the album marked a debut destined to leave a lasting mark. Hailing from Limerick, the Cranberries stepped onto the international scene with an already well-defined sound, as recalled by guitarist Noel Hogan, who highlighted the challenges of such a journey for a band that grew up in a small Irish town.

The Deluxe Edition, out May 22, 2026 via Island/Ume, will be available in five configurations and will include, alongside new mixes by Street, remixes and reinterpretations, among them the Spanish-language versions of "Linger" with Bratty and of "Dreams" with AnaSof. The liner notes have been expanded with contributions from designer Cally Callomon and photographer Andy Earl.

Drummer Fergal Lawler recalled the recording sessions at Dublin's Windmill Lane Studios, highlighting Street's central role in shaping the band's sound.

"Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?" topped the charts in the UK and Ireland, going on to sell over six million copies worldwide. The singles "Dreams" and "Linger" broke into the Top 10, cementing the band's international profile and bringing Dolores O'Riordan's extraordinary voice to the forefront.

The additional content in the reissues also includes bonus tracks, alternate versions and live recordings, along with a remix of "Linger" courtesy of Cook. The new Spanish-language versions offer a contemporary reworking of the repertoire: Bratty turns "Linger" into a ballad with bedroom-pop shades, while AnaSof reworks "Dreams" with a more ethereal approach.
