Claudio Baglioni: the setlist of the Rome concert. The first live night at Piazza di Siena

25-10-2026

Claudio Baglioni returned to the stage last night, Saturday 24 October, with the first of seven concerts of “Che notte è questa!” at Piazza di Siena, in the heart of Villa Borghese in Rome. It marked a comeback after the acute interstitial pneumonia that had forced him to halt his activities and postpone his next major tour by a year. The date coincided with the 44th anniversary of the “Alé-oò” gathering, which on 24 October 1982 had drawn around 250,000 spectators to the same spot. The seven Roman shows, expected to draw a total of 44,800 spectators, forge a link between that historic event and the singer-songwriter's present. The schedule includes concerts on 24, 25, 27, 28, 30 and 31 October and 1 November, all starting at 9pm. The project celebrates nearly sixty years of career and introduces the “GrandTour La vita è adesso” journey, postponed to 2027 for health reasons: fifty concerts along a route through art cities, archaeological sites, monumental landmarks and places of historical and environmental interest. A journey also designed to showcase Italy's heritage, set to conclude in Rome on 23 October 2027, against the backdrop of the Fori Imperiali.

The first night at Piazza di Siena

The first night opened under the sign of memory, with footage from the 1982 concert, before the entrance of Giovanni Baglioni, the Roman singer-songwriter's son. Born that very year, five months before the Piazza di Siena gathering, the guitarist opened the show with two of his own instrumental tracks, “Get Up!” and “Roots”. That was followed by “Notte di note note di notte”, handled by the backing singers with Claudio's voice joining in for the finale, and then the singer-songwriter's entrance to the strains of the unreleased “Che notte è questa!”. The track, which gives the event its name, will be released digitally on 13 November via Sony Music Italy, produced by Cosa Edizioni Musicali.
Baglioni was backed by a fourteen-piece band, featuring the guitars of Paolo Gianolio and Chicco Gussoni, plus four backing vocalists. Behind them, images and graphics alternated between nods to the Rationalist architecture of the Eur district and space-themed visuals, while the setlist ranged across the different eras of his catalogue, totalling around forty songs when counting those grouped into medleys.

The first part paired “Io sono qui”, “Dagli il via” and “Acqua dalla luna” with “Gli anni più belli”, “Uomini persi”, “Noi no” and “Avrai”, while also leaving room for more intimate moments such as “Io me ne andrei”. One of the central moments was the encounter with Giovanni for “Con tutto l’amore che posso”: father and son seated on stools, in a version for voice and harp guitar. The heart of the show was marked out by three medleys, each associated with a colour. The yellow one brought together “Le vie dei colori”, “Un po’ di più”, “W l’Inghilterra” and “Porta Portese”; the red one gathered “Amore bello”, “Solo”, “Niente più” and “Sabato pomeriggio”; the blue one wove together “Poster”, “Cuore di aliante”, “Uomo di varie età” and “Sono io”.
The finale brought some of the most eagerly awaited titles: “Mille giorni di te e di me”, “E tu” and “Questo piccolo grande amore”, followed by “Strada facendo”, “Via” and the choral closer “La vita è adesso”. Sealing the farewell, “Con voi” sung by the choir. “It was sublime”, Baglioni told the audience. Below is the setlist from the opening night (source: Setlist.fm).
