Luca Carboni, Parov Stelar and Meute join the lineup of the first Italian edition of JAZZ OPEN (Modena, 13-18 July)

05-02-2026

Luca Carboni, Parov Stelar and Meute are the new headliners rounding out the lineup for JAZZ OPEN Modena, the first Italian edition of the European JAZZ OPEN Festival, born 30 years ago in Stuttgart under the artistic direction of Jurgen Schlensog and now a global point of reference. These artists join the stars already announced in recent weeks: Gregory Porter, Diana Krall, Moby, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone and Jean-Michel Jarre.

JAZZ OPEN will take place in the Emilian city from July 13 to 18, keeping its traditional "Jazz & Beyond" formula, which spans a wide range of genres, from classic jazz to more contaminated strains, from pop to soul, from rock to electronica.

Three venues will host the festival, starting with the extraordinary setting of Piazza Roma overlooked by the majestic Palazzo Ducale, now home to the Military Academy. A main stage set among the wonders of historic and artistic heritage. The Baluardo will instead host – again from 13 to 18 July – the more strictly jazz-oriented programme, with live performances by artists such as Emma Smith, Aaron Parks, Andrea Sabatino, Mammal Hands, Francesca Tandoi and Herve Samb & Band. Finally, the Giardino Ducale Estense will be the setting for the Open Stages dedicated to emerging artists.
