Magda Di Genova

Born in Milan on May 8, 1974, where she still spends most of her time. Her first serious (and traumatic) encounter with music came in 1987 when, on an ordinary Saturday afternoon, she decided to follow the neighbourhood goths with the firm intention of spending her life savings on the same record bought by those dark creatures: "First Last and Always" by the Sisters of Mercy. Not quite love at first listen. Things went better with the record she bought a few weeks later on the shop assistant's recommendation: "Seventeen Seconds" by the Cure was definitely more accessible. After finishing her studies she moved to London for love, where, at a Nick Cave concert, she received the great honour of being threatened with death by King Ink himself. She returned to Milan a couple of years later for love of a decent plate of pasta. From 2000 to 2002 she collaborated with the literature and visual arts magazine Eulaleia, publishing themed short stories and preparing others for open readings. From 2004 to 2011 she collaborated with Onda Rock, for which she turned herself inside out and transformed into an "assault interviewer". She's always the same, but sometimes she never changes.
