Born in 1986 exactly halfway between Naples and Salerno, in a town called Poggiomarino that, despite its name, isn't on the sea, I'm one of those insufferable people who, when asked what music they listen to, answer with a laconic “a bit of everything.” Insufferable as it may be, it's the most honest answer I can give.One of my earliest musical memories, dating back to around 1998, is putting together a mixtape for a holiday in Sperlonga, where for a month we'd also be sharing the beach with Nanni Moretti, titled “Music In Time” or something like that. A whopping 4 CDs featuring Subsonica and Vivaldi, Eiffel 65 and Scorpions, Strauss and P.F.M., Liquido and Fabrizio De André, Gigi D'Agostino and TLC, Queen and Eurythmics. All more or less happily thrown together in a masterpiece of a tracklist whose boldest moment was the sequence "Adesso tu/Losing My religion". And I hadn't even started digging deeper yet. See? What else could I possibly answer if not that I listen to a bit of everything. It was true back then and it's true now. Having graduated, God only knows why, in business economics from LUISS in Rome, in 2015 I moved to London to work, in order, as a cook, a barista, and a shop assistant in a crowded store on Regent Street. In that same stretch of time I moved house four times, travelled at an average rate of a couple of gigs every three weeks, and found love.I'd go on to write about music more and more, and among others I'd interview Mark Lanegan, before his show at the Electric Ballroom in Camden. The most rock'n'roll moment of my life. Not the interview itself: waking him up to do it. Someone from his management had the brilliant idea of not checking the dressing room before shutting the door behind me and vanishing into thin air.These days I'm happily married, I live in Berlin, and I still haven't lost the habit of rambling on and reeling off pointless details. Oh, I almost forgot: I'm a dad to two kids just fifteen months apart, not exactly the wisest of decisions.When I'm not managing a clothing store downtown or looking after my two adorable little ones, I write the odd review, artist profile or milestone piece for Ondarock.
