Marta Del Grandi

Marta Del Grandi is a singer-songwriter from Milan. A jazz-trained musician, she studied at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan and at the Royal Conservatory of Ghent in Belgium. Driven by a strong passion for travel and for discovering different places and cultures, she later moved first to China for a short period, and then to Nepal, where she settled in Kathmandu for two and a half years.

Living in such a different place and coming to know it deeply had a profound influence on her view of the world, and consequently on the music and lyrics she wrote for her solo debut “Until We Fossilize” (2021). The album, released on the British label Fire Records, is an avant-pop work in which folk-rock stylistic traits coexist with Lynchian atmospheres and cinematic arrangements reminiscent of Ennio Morricone's soundtracks.

In 2023 came the follow-up album “Selva” (Fire Records), which was warmly received by both audiences and critics, confirming Marta Del Grandi as one of the most authoritative voices in modern art-pop.
