Little Simz

Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo — better known by her stage name Little Simz — was born in 1994 in the North London area. Before focusing primarily on music, at the age of nine she appeared in the BBC series “Spirit Warriors”. One of the leading names of the emerging British rap scene, she started making waves beyond national borders in 2019, following the release of the acclaimed “Grey Area”. The follow-up, “Sometimes I Might Be Introverted”, released in 2021, earned her the prestigious Mercury Prize.

The following year, “No Thank You” further cemented her standing, bringing her three Brit Awards nominations (including “British Best Album Of The Year”) and a win at the MOBOs (Music Of Black Origin Awards) in the “Best Hip Hop Act” category. In February 2024 came “Drop 7”, the seventh in a series of EPs containing material left off her albums. At the same time, Little Simz has continued her acting career, gaining major international visibility thanks to her starring role in the Netflix series “Top Boy”.

In 2025 came her return to recording with “Lotus”, followed a year later by a new EP, “Sugar Girl”, featuring collaborations with 070 Shake, JT and Deela.
