Verdena, Alberto Ferrari announces a solo tour

16-04-2026

Alberto Ferrari, voice and guitar of Verdena and a central figure in the I Hate My Village project as well, returns to the stage with a series of solo shows built on an essential, close-up register. For this occasion he opts for a minimal setup: he'll be alone, accompanied solely by his guitar. An approach that strips his songs back to a bare form, focused on songwriting and interpretation, with no complex arrangements acting as a filter.

The live show moves along the arc of his artistic path, weaving together songs from the Verdena catalogue with reinterpretations of tracks that shaped his sensibility and imagination.

The first two announced dates also reflect a deliberate choice of setting, away from the more conventional circuits. The debut is set for May 17, 2026 in Fano, at the Sopravento space – the former Chiesa di San Francesco; the second date is scheduled for August 9, 2026 in Scicli, at Azul – Museo della Pietra, with the concert set to take place at dawn. Tickets are available through Dna concerti's official channels, while for the Sicilian date they can already be purchased on Dice as well.

Meanwhile, Verdena have recently shared a cryptically toned image, a signal that could hint at new recording activity following the departure of Roberta Sammarelli, the band's longtime bassist. A black-and-white photo appeared on Instagram: in the foreground only the Ferrari brothers, Alberto and Luca, accompanied by a cryptic caption, “Coloriamo i mostri”. A fragment rather than an announcement, but enough to immediately reignite attention around the band from Bergamo. In the comments, some are calling for a new album while others say they're ready for whatever creative turn comes next, a sign of a bond with the audience that has stayed intact despite the absence.
