A new track from Arcade Fire's Will Butler [Listen]

Will Butler, member of Arcade Fire and brother of the frontman, has shared a new track, “Anything You Want”, on his Soundcloud page. Released shortly after the 4th of July, the United States’ Independence Day, the song does indeed reference American history in its lyrics, and contains a sample of “You Got It” by Roy Orbison.  “It wasn’t written specifically for the 4th of July, but it feels fitting”, Butler said of the track, which you can listen to below.

This marks Butler’s first solo material since the 2016 live album “Friday Night”, which had followed his debut “Policy” (2015). Butler is currently on Arcade Fire’s Infinite Content Tour, supporting the release of their new album “Everything Now”, due out on July 28: the third single, “Signs of Life”, was recently shared.
