The Vaccines, new album and an Italian live date on the way

20-09-2023

The Vaccines have announced their new album, due out on January 12, 2024 via Thirty Tigers. It's called "Pick-Up Full Of Pink Carnations" and arrives three years after the previous "Back In Love City". The record, the sixth for the London band, was produced by Andy Wells (Halsey, Phoebe Bridgers) and mixed by Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, The Flaming Lips). The streaming of the first single, "Heartbreak Kid", has been made available in preview and you can listen to it below.

"'Heartbreak Kid' is a call to arms, a reminder that in this historical moment, facing your feelings head-on can make you feel more alive, even if it seems like the world is ending - points out singer Justin Young - This is a song to keep company to those stuck in traffic on the busy highway connecting loss to discovery".

The whole album, meanwhile, according to the press release, is the quintessence of the Vaccines' sound: guitar-driven, sixties-inspired pop-rock filtered through a wave attitude.

The Vaccines have also announced the European tour that will see them play at Magazzini Generali in Milan on January 28, 2024, their only Italian date, following their last visit in 2019.

Tickets will be available in presale for My Live Nation users starting at 10am on Tuesday, September 26. To access the presale, simply register for free at www.livenation.it. General ticket sales will open at 10am on Friday, September 29.
