Taylor Swift surprise-releases the video for “Elizabeth Taylor”, the third single from the album “The Life Of A Showgirl“, already certified platinum in Italy and the protagonist of a run marked by a string of international records.
The video marks a shift in tone from “Opalite”: gone is the choral scale and international cast, as Swift opts for an essential visual construction. The project is built on found footage, reworking images drawn from films starring Elizabeth Taylor and turning archival material into a narrative that dialogues with the song's themes, somewhere between memory and imagery.

Alongside the video release, two alternate versions have also landed on streaming platforms: “Elizabeth Taylor – So Glamorous Cabaret Version” and “Elizabeth Taylor – Track By Track”, further expanding the single's narrative scope.
Meanwhile, the track has passed 320 million streams on Spotify, joining previous singles “The Fate Of Ophelia” and “Opalite” in fuelling the album's commercial staying power. “The Life Of A Showgirl” has in fact scored the artist's best-ever debut in Italy, topping the FIMI chart and ranking among the best-selling titles of 2025.
The project also cements Swift's standing as a global record-holder, the first solo artist to surpass 100 billion streams on the platform, while further strengthening her presence in the Italian market, where she has racked up 20 gold and 20 platinum certifications.
Starting April 18, to mark Record Store Day, the single will also be available in a limited 7-inch vinyl edition at participating stores.
