San Marino Song Contest 2026: Senhit wins with Boy George thanks to “Superstar”

07-03-2026

The final of the San Marino Song Contest 2026 took place last night at the Teatro Nuovo in Dogana, the competition that decides the Republic of San Marino's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026, set to take place in Vienna from May 12 to 16. Out of twenty-one finalists from fourteen countries, the winner was Senhit alongside Boy George with the song “Superstar”. The Culture Club frontman not only lends his voice to the track but is also its co-writer and producer. For Senhit, this marks a return to Eurovision representing San Marino: the singer had already taken part in 2011 with “Stand By” and in 2021 with “Adrenalina”, made together with rapper Flo Rida.

During the evening, Senhit thanked the Republic of San Marino and broadcaster San Marino RTV for their support over the years, highlighting her by-now well-established bond with the country and the growing international standing of the event. The singer also said it would be an honor for her to return to the Eurovision stage with “Superstar” alongside Boy George.

The final was hosted by Simona Ventura. The winner was chosen by a jury chaired by Federica Gentile and made up of Roberto Sergio, Mario Andrea Ettorre and musicians Massimo Zanotti and Beppe D'Onghia.

In the final standings, second place went to Kelly Joyce with "Oh La La", followed by Paolo Belli with "Bellissima". Fourth place was shared by Maya Azucena with "My Sin" and Inis Neziri with "Aurora".

Several side awards were also handed out during the evening. The quality jury prize — made up of Morgan, Iva Zanicchi and Red Ronnie — went to Dolcenera for "My Love", a song that also received the Siae award. The "Ludovico Di Meo" press award, meanwhile, was given to the duo Pellegrina Pibigas for "Il giorno che".
