Richard Ashcroft will perform, for his only Italian date, at the La Prima Estate festival. The former Verve frontman will play on 21 June at Parco BussolaDomani in Lido di Camaiore (Lucca). Also on the bill that same night are Libertines and Wombats, for an evening steeped in British sounds.
A pivotal figure in contemporary English music, as a press release describes him, Richard Ashcroft is one of the most iconic and influential voices of the last thirty years. First with The Verve, then through a hugely successful solo career, he has written key chapters in the history of British rock, leaving a lasting mark thanks to intense songwriting and live performances of powerful emotional impact. Ashcroft also joined Oasis on their recent reunion tour.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
