Pearl Jam: Eddie Vedder releases a new track: listen to “Better Believe”

19-06-2026

Eddie Vedder, frontman of Pearl Jam, has shared the new single “Better Believe”, made together with the young musicians of the Chicago Guitars Over Guns collective. The track was performed live for the first time on June 18 during the opening ceremony of the Obama Presidential Center.
“Better Believe” came out of an initiative promoted by the Obama Foundation involving the Pearl Jam frontman and Guitars Over Guns, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing artistic and personal support to young people from difficult social backgrounds. Proceeds from the single will go entirely to the organization's activities.

The song was written by Vedder together with Giselle Castro, Andre "Add-2" Daniels, Jeremiah Fristoe, Mason Harris, Michael "Myskie" Hightower, Naomi Owens, Joy Viltz and Iya Waters. Production was handled by Andrew Watt, Andre "Add-2" Daniels, Paul LaMalfa and Vedder himself.
The recording sessions took place at Columbia College Chicago and involved students, alumni and young artists connected to Guitars Over Guns, under the supervision of Andre "Add-2" Daniels, a teacher and the organization's regional director.
Below is the stream of "Better Believe".
