Oasis in Italy: Liam Gallagher confirms from Venice. And a tour calendar surfaces

06-09-2026

The announcement of Oasis's return to Italy in 2027 now seems just around the corner. On the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival, where the British band presented the documentary “Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger”, Liam Gallagher gave a curt “yes” in response to Adnkronos's question: “Will you come to Rome next year?”. The Gallagher brothers skipped the afternoon press conference, but showed up for the evening premiere in the Sala Grande, greeted by a large crowd of fans. No official interview, just a few remarks caught on the red carpet — enough, though, to add further weight to a rumour that's been circulating for months.

According to an unconfirmed schedule, first reported by the British tabloid The Sun and subsequently reworked by the same outlet, Oasis could play Rome's Stadio Olimpico on 24 and 25 July 2027. Liam had already hinted on social media that two dates in the capital would suffice; the answer given in Venice thus appears to be the clearest confirmation yet.
The exact dates remain unverified. The Sun itself describes the schedule as provisional and, in the last few hours, has removed the detailed list from its article, keeping only the cities and stadiums involved. The general plan, however, points to a massive tour: kicking off at Celtic Park in Glasgow, a long residency at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, then Paris, Munich, Rome, Slane Castle in Ireland and six closing shows at Knebworth.
Earlier versions of the rumoured itinerary also included Amsterdam and Barcelona, while after the European leg there was talk of possible US dates, between Las Vegas and Boston. There's even an Italian twist: another list circulating online mentioned two nights at San Siro, on 17 and 18 July, a week before Rome. For now, though, there is no confirmation for either Milan or the Rome dates.

The official announcement could be close. Two teasers posted on Oasis's social media have been read by fans as clues pointing to the Glasgow and Manchester shows. If the tour does take shape, the line-up should mirror that of the recent reunion, with Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, Andy Bell, Gem Archer, Joey Waronker and Christian Madden alongside the Gallagher brothers. According to rumours, the band would also like to avoid dynamic pricing and favour big standalone events over festival deals.
