Nero Kane: Ritual Folk Shows with King Dude among churches and castles – The video for "The World Heedless Of Our Pain"

Nero Kane returns this autumn with a new run of Ritual Folk Shows, joined once again by his faithful collaborator Samantha Stella, with whom he presents his latest album “For The Love, The Death And The Poetry” (Subsound Records), which has been met with glowing reviews and named (including by OndaRock) among the best musical works of 2025. “A collection of spiritual incantations between the known and the unknown, carried by gorgeous arrangements steeped in dark, western, folk, goth, psychedelic and experimental shades, a sermon of souls”, is how American Songwriter USA describes it. And now the duo have accepted an invitation from the charismatic American singer-songwriter King Dude, whose sound moves between Americana folk and devotional rock'n'roll: Kane and Stella will be special guests on his Italian dates in Milan, Bologna and Turin, as well as on one of his two Swiss dates at the castle of Aigle, an imposing 12th-century building, joining him in a striking ritual bound to captivate fans of Swans, Wovenhand and Robert Johnson.

Nero Kane will also open the evening at the Ex Tenebris Lux Festival in the Maison des Chœurs church in Montpellier, where the Italian band Messa will be performing. It's a welcome return for the duo, who earned a mention from the French outlet New Noise as the third-best concert of 2023 following their previous performance at this very venue.
For the first time, Nero Kane will play in Spain, while among the Italian headline shows will be Florence and the stunning setting of the Chiesa Valdese in Rome, with blues-psychedelic songwriter Black Snake Moan as guest. And it's in a castle, too - this time in France - that Nero Kane's latest video, "The World Heedless Of Our Pain", is set.
