Tonight, April 18, Milan hosts the Marra Block Party, the concert marking Marracash's symbolic return to the Barona neighbourhood, where he grew up. The event, held on Via Enrico De Nicola and the surrounding areas, is conceived as a celebration of hip-hop culture in an urban, community-driven spirit, modelled on classic block parties.
All proceeds – tickets sold out within hours – will go to social initiatives and the redevelopment of youth spaces in Municipio 6. The concert area spans Via De Pretis, Via Voltri and Via San Virgilio, opening to the public in the afternoon with a run of sets building up to the main show.

Marracash announced the Marra Block Party on March 2, following a historic milestone for the artist: the album "Persona", released on October 31, 2019, after 330 consecutive weeks on the charts (over 6 years) – an unprecedented record in Italian music – has been certified Diamond, surpassing 500,000 copies sold. He is the second solo artist in the history of Italian rap to reach this milestone. "Persona", released in 2019, topped the charts from the outset, becoming the best-selling album of 2020; it marked a turning point for Italian rap, pushing the genre beyond its boundaries and cementing Marracash as a central figure in Italian music. It is the first album of the Trilogy, in which Marracash recounts his own "crisis" and reflects on career, life and identity. It is followed by "Noi, Loro, Gli Altri" – certified eight times platinum – which tackles conflict and social issues, and "È finita la pace", where he arrives at acceptance and the affirmation of his uniqueness.
