After the debut album “L’eroe Romantico”, released in 1999 by Sony Music – Mescal and produced by Morgan, the band embarked on a long tour that took in most of Italy's major live clubs, including several shows as support act for none other than Bluvertigo. La Sintesi became one of the leading acts of the so-called “MTV Generation”, taking part in various initiatives organised by the fledgling music channel. In 2002 La Sintesi also competed in the 52nd edition of the Sanremo Festival with “Ho mangiato la mia ragazza”, a track that anticipated their second album “Un curioso caso”, again released through Sony Music – Mescal and recorded and produced by Pino Pischetola, a sound engineer with credits including Depeche Mode, Robert Palmer and Franco Battiato. The band played its last show on 2 December 2002 in Palermo, before deciding to call it quits in January 2003.
