From 17 to 19 April 2026, Bologna's Baumhaus will host the first edition of Tanca Fest, a new venture from Tanca Records, the label founded in 2022 in partnership with Trovarobato and led artistically by Iosonouncane. The festival stands as the natural live extension of the path the label has charted so far on record. Three days, two stages, twelve artists on the bill and three secret shows – one per night – tasked with officially kicking off the programme. The line-up includes A Nice Noise, Agenda dei Buoni Propositi, Aka5ha, Akii, Banadisa, Giacomo Salis, Ginevra Nervi, Lacana, Luca Barachetti, Lui Sa Li, Panoram and tellKujira.
The artistic coordinates span different yet connected territories. On one side, song form in its most fluid variations, as in the sets by A Nice Noise, Agenda dei Buoni Propositi, Aka5ha, Banadisa and Lacana; on the other, the electronic trajectories of Ginevra Nervi, Lui Sa Li, Akii and Panoram. Rounding out the picture is the improvisational territory explored by Giacomo Salis, Luca Barachetti and tellKujira. The overall design holds together songwriting, timbral research and practices of deconstruction.
Jacopo Incani explained the origins of the project like this: “I've always been fascinated and impressed by independent record labels that manage to build a dense network of people and ideas, capable of setting off shared paths of research and defining an attitude. Even more so when they manage to tie all that to a specific place that becomes the epicenter of a concentric statement. That's why, from the very first moment, I felt that Tanca Records needed its own festival, its own way of manifesting in the concrete reality of a space open above all to projects outside the label, but akin to it in attitude and approach”. And further: “The song, especially the kind generically called pop, is a space of potential experimentation. Pop, in its highest and most vital sense, wouldn't exist without the research work carried out at the edges of consensus and the market. At the center of my work is the song understood as a mutable object, crossed by currents of experimentation. This first edition of the festival fully reflects that attitude: there are projects closer to the song and others on the opposite front, amid deconstruction, improvisation, electronics and an acoustic dimension”.
The visual production will be curated by Sicilian director Alessandro Gagliardo, already involved in Iosonouncane's live projects, including the cine-concert "Sacramento" and the 2022 European tour, as well as the recent duo tour with Daniela Pes.
Season passes are already sold out; day tickets remain available on DICE for 26 euros.
