Greta Van Fleet: listen to "Saw You Stand", the new single from the upcoming album Palace For The People

Greta Van Fleet have released "Saw You Stand", the second single taken from "Palace For The People", the band's fourth studio album due out on October 9th. After announcing their return in May with the message "We're back, baby!" and the first single "Play Your Games", the group continues building toward the new record with a cinematic-leaning power ballad, backed by a video whose atmosphere vaguely recalls the imagery of "Dune".

Recorded in Tennessee in spring 2026 and co-produced by the band together with Mike Elizondo, “Palace For The People” was born out of a renewed sense of closeness among the four musicians, after years spent almost exclusively on the road between shows and tours. “We love each other today as much as, if not more than, before, because we finally had time to be together away from the tour,” says singer Josh Kiszka. “We've grown as people, and we have more to tell and share than ever”. Drummer Danny Wagner echoes the sentiment: “When the four of us walk into the same room with the shared goal of making music, there's very little that can stop us”.
The album's title draws inspiration from London's Alexandra Palace, originally known as “The Palace of the People”, which the band discovered during their 2022 world tour. Conceived as a place open to everyone rather than reserved for the aristocracy, that idea ended up mirroring the relationship between the band and their audience. “I can't count how many people have told me: 'This is my best friend, we met because of your music or one of your shows'”, explains bassist and keyboardist Sam Kiszka. “That's when we realized our music is our palace”.

Away from live commitments, Greta Van Fleet spent spring 2026 digging up old demos, finishing tracks left unfinished, and writing new material with a newfound creative freedom. The result is a record that continues to explore themes such as humanity, connection, resilience and transcendence. "As much as it's a Greta Van Fleet record and, at its core, a genuine rock album, its heart is deeply contemporary", concludes guitarist Jake Kiszka.
