Guccini's second will: the houses in Pavana and Via Paolo Fabbri go to his wife Raffaella, 50% of royalties to his daughter

09-09-2026

Francesco Guccini's public will, drawn up on 19 January 2022, was opened on 8 September. The document revokes any previous provisions and names Raffaella Zuccari, the singer-songwriter's second wife, as sole heir. All of his assets will therefore pass to her, including the homes on via Paolo Fabbri 43 in Bologna and in Pavana, the village in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines to which Guccini remained deeply attached throughout his life.
His daughter Teresa, on the other hand, is assigned - in place of her statutory share of the estate - all of her father's shares in the company Limentra srl and 50% of the copyright and royalty rights tied to his work as a singer-songwriter and writer, along with a precious watch bearing one instruction: "I recommend only moving the hands forward, so as not to break it." The remaining 50% of the rights stays with Raffaella Zuccari.

Francesco Guccini passed away on 6 August. His first will dated back to 2015, signed before notary Lorenzo Luca. The second was drawn up in 2022, with fellow notary Luigi Stame. It was this latter document that proved decisive. Under the law, a more recent will effectively cancels out any earlier ones - in this case, just the one. The older will, opened on 8 September and now more than 10 years old, did not contain Guccini's final wishes but rather, one might say, his second-to-last ones. Namely, "a lot of things for his daughter Teresa," says notary Luca, who confirms her presence at his office. It was a public will, drawn up in front of Luca himself and two witnesses back in 2015.
