Foo Fighters: new album announced. Listen to the single "Your Favorite Toy". An Italian date set for July

19-02-2026

Foo Fighters have released their new single “Your Favorite Toy”, available digitally and on radio rotation from February 20th. The track precedes the self-titled album “Your Favorite Toy”, out April 24th via Roswell Records and Rca Records. Built on razor-sharp guitars and darker keyboard textures, the track moves at a tight, driving pace. In the chorus, Dave Grohl adopts a rougher vocal register, with a sarcastic edge that defines the song's identity. “Your Favorite Toy was the key to zeroing in on the sound of the new record”, Grohl explained. “It came about almost by accident, after more than a year of experimenting. Once it took shape, we knew that was the direction to follow. That's where the rest of the songs we recorded came from. It has a different kind of energy”.

The track offers a first glimpse of the aesthetic of the new record, already introduced by the single "Asking For A Friend". The album was recorded entirely at a private studio, co-produced by the band together with Oliver Roman; Roman also handled the sound engineering, while mixing duties went to Mark "Spike" Stent.

The single's release coincides with the launch of the Take Cover World Tour, which will kick off on June 10 at Unity Arena in Oslo, following appearances at the US festivals Welcome To Rockville and BottleRock Napa Valley. In Italy, the band will play a single date at I-Days Milano Coca-Cola on July 5 at Ippodromo Snai La Maura, with Idles and Fat Dog opening.
