Three years after their formation — a span that also allowed them to cut their teeth across the many scenes that make up Bologna's underground landscape — Essaira are ready to release their visceral debut album "From The Guts Of Essaira", due out February 16th via Raw Culture. The trio, made up of Paola Paganotto (The Procrastinators) on vocals, Angelo Casarrubia (Buzz Aldrin, Melampus, Obsexed, Bromance) and Nico Pasquini (Stromboli, Brutal Birthday, Buzz Aldrin, His Clancyness) on guitars, electronics and effects, blends layered vocals over synth beds, biting noise-punk, industrial and new-beat rhythms, pushing as far as Ebm drift. The live presentation of the album in the Bolognese city will instead take place in mid-March at Teatro San Leonardo, as part of AngelicA.
