Sarah Assbring is a strange creature, with her mysterious project El Perro del Mar (The Dog of the Sea). The photographs that portray her as ever aloof and elegant, almost hieratic, her blue eyes staring into the lens and her skin milky white, would be enough to describe her: a Swedish Nico who refuses to belong to any particular time or place.
We already brought you here a remix of her first single "Walk on By" complete with original video; as of today, the full stream of "Pale Fire" is available, the new album from the ethereal and austere Assbring, out November 13 on The Control Group.
It confirms itself as a painstaking work, with a spare perfectionism in the arrangements aimed at pushing into entirely new sensory territory. Listen to it below.
