Two years after the release of their debut album “In a State of Altered Unconsciousness“, the Bologna-based quartet Earthset (Luigi Varanese on bass, Costantino Mazzoccoli on guitar, Emanuele Orsini on drums and Ezio Romano on vocals and guitar) have announced the release of a new work. “Popism” is the new EP out in March. We're delighted to present the exclusive premiere of the official video for the first single “Flush”. Directed by Giulia Ferrato.
The song describes an unspecified break from one's own habits, leading the protagonist to discover and accept a hidden part of herself that she had, to some extent, disowned. The restlessness of the track, suspended between wakefulness and dreamlike atmospheres, resolves itself in the finale, where the two souls reunite like reunited lovers.
The concept of the video revolves entirely around the protagonist's dreamy fantasies. She is alone in her room, far from the world, in her most intimate space, within her own soul. Here the child's colourful imagination collides with new, unknown fantasies. A thousand voices in her mind accompany the solitary journey that will lead her to the awareness of now being a woman. Chromatically, the video echoes the EP's artwork, where bursts of colour break through the whiteness.
