Duran Duran, Arte Tv releases the Baloise Session in Switzerland: watch the full concert video

From the glories of new wave in the 80s to global pop icon status, Duran Duran have spanned over four decades of music without losing their ability to reinvent themselves. The Birmingham band took centre stage in a special concert at the Baloise Session, the Swiss festival that favours close encounters between artists and audience, offering a more intimate dimension than the big shows of international tours.
Recorded on 24 October 2025, the performance offers a chance to rediscover the repertoire of Simon Le Bon and co. in a more essential form, far from the stage sets and spectacular effects that have often accompanied their career. A concert that focuses above all on the strength of the songs and the immediacy of the performance. Watch the full video of the show below, released by Arte Tv.

Pioneers of new wave and absolute protagonists of the 1980s music-video explosion, Duran Duran have managed to continually reinvent themselves without ever becoming prisoners of nostalgia. Their collaborations with producers and musicians such as Nile Rodgers and Mark Ronson testify to their drive to constantly update their sound, while keeping recognisable a sonic identity that has helped shape the imagery of contemporary pop music.
Between irresistible melodies, danceable rhythms and a sharp visual sensibility, the British band have sold millions of records and influenced generations of artists. The concert at the Baloise Session captures exactly this dual nature: a band deeply tied to its own history, yet still eager to explore new expressive possibilities.
In the intimate atmosphere of the Swiss festival, Duran Duran present themselves in a more direct, authentic light, letting the music and the connection with the audience take centre stage above all else.
