Radio X magazine's ranking of the 50 best indie love songs of all time

Indie music doesn't generally favor love songs. At least not in the classic sense. There is, however, a long list of exceptions, and Radio X magazine has drawn on them to compile its new ranking, titled "The 50 Best Indie Love Songs". "If you're looking for the perfect playlist for someone special," the magazine writes in its introduction, "we've put together a selection of indie classics spanning generations and sensibilities: from the Smiths to Paul Weller, from the Killers to Florence + The Machine, from Blur to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs". All these songs — and many more — can be heard on the live playlist "Radio X Indie Love Songs" on Global Player.
