Countdown to the 2026 edition of Beaches Brew: the Ravenna kermesse will take place from 9 to 11 June on the Hana-Bi beach, with a line-up featuring plenty of interesting names, such as Joshua Idehen (Benin City, Hugh, LV), who moves between spoken word poetry and danceable UK funky, the Congolese afrofuturist collective Fulu Miziki, the lethal Dublin double bill of M(h)aol and Madra Salach, respectively a band straddling post-punk and noise with a focus on feminist and queer themes, and an avant-garde folk sextet, the "new wave mushroom trance" served up by Japanese one-off act Super Jet Kinoko, and more besides.
Beaches Brew was born in 2012 from the union of Bronson Produzioni and a team of curators split between the Netherlands and the United States, and ever since its mission has been one of ongoing research, experimentation and the discovery of new sounds from around the world. Direct proof of this comes from artists such as King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Big Thief, The Comet Is Coming and Lambrini Girls, whose Italian debut took place right on the Hana-Bi stage.
