Beach House to headline tour celebrating Gene Clark's “No Other”

I Beach House guideranno il tour celebrativo dell’Lp di Gene Clark “No Other”. Il disco è stato il quarto da solista del fondatore dei Byrds, ed è uscito nel 1974, otto anni dopo il suo distacco dalla band.

Il progetto è partito su iniziativa di Victoria Legrand e Alex Scally, da tempo ammiratori dell’album, che hanno setacciato la scena musicale di Baltimore fino a mettere insieme una band di dieci membri, con musicisti dei Lower Dens, Wye Oak e Celebration, e persino quattro guest vocalist: Robin Pecknold dei Fleet Foxes, Daniel Rossen dei Grizzly Bear e Hamilton Leithauser dei forse defunti Walkmen, per finire con Iain Matthews, meglio conosciuto per i suoi lavori con i Fairport Convention e i Plainsong. 

Il neoformato collettivo ha già fissato una serie di concerti negli States, durante i quali riproporrà “No Other” in versione integrale, oltre a mostrare un nuovo edit del documentario su Gene Clark “The Byrd Who Flew Alone”, il cui trailer trovate qui sotto.
