Banco, Le Orme and New Trolls on the same stage for "Una storia unica", a prog event in two dates

Three central names of Italian progressive rock share the same stage for the first time in an event titled “Una storia unica” (“A Unique Story”), scheduled for March 21 and 30, 2026. The evening's protagonists will be Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Of New Trolls and Le Orme with Bernardo Lanzetti. The three bands, in their current line-ups, will perform on March 21 at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua and on March 30 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.

The program includes a reinterpretation of the most representative tracks from each band's repertoire, alongside shared moments: jam sessions and collaborations devised specifically for the occasion, weaving together musicians from different yet complementary chapters of Italian prog history.

Taking the stage will be, for Le Orme, Bernardo Lanzetti, Michi Dei Rossi, Michele Bon, Luca Sparagna and Aligi Pasqualetto; for Of New Trolls, Gianni Belleno, Nico Di Palo, Claudio Cinquegrana, Stefano Genti and Nando Corradini; for Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Vittorio Nocenzi, Michelangelo Nocenzi, Filippo Marcheggiani, Marco Capozi, Andrea Bruni and Tony D’Alessio.

More than fifty years after their debut, many of the albums recorded by these musicians are still to be found on shelves and streaming platforms, confirming a relevance that has never faded.

The title chosen by Vittorio Nocenzi for the event sums up the spirit of the whole operation: “A Unique Story”. A long and multifaceted journey, crossed by different musical languages yet traceable back to a common progressive root. The concert brings together bands that left their mark on Italian and international rock, bringing back to the stage the songs that made their name on the global progressive scene alongside their biggest commercial hits. It's an event that puts different eras and generations of fans in dialogue, united for the first time in the same setting.

The project was conceived and produced by Enrico Vesco, Le Orme's longtime producer, together with Manuel Clava and Alfonso Caprioni, artistic directors and heads of JM Production and CE Agency.
