Archive in Italy for a single date. New album “Glass Minds” on the way: here's the single “Look At Us”

10-02-2026

Archive will play a single Italian date on 18 April at the Estragon in Bologna, as part of their European tour ahead of a North American leg. The Bologna show will feature our own JoyCut in support, and is part of the tour for “Glass Minds”, the album due out on 27 February on the band’s own label, Dangervisit, distributed by [PIAS].

The new work by the London collective, formed in Croydon in 1994, follows Call To Arms & Angels from 2022, a monumental triple album that took the band to the top of the European charts and crowned them with the most ambitious tour of their career, culminating in November 2023 with the historic show at the Paris Accor Arena in front of 15,000 spectators.

Recorded between Metway Studios in Brighton and Angel Studios in London, “Glass Minds” was produced by Archive themselves alongside longtime collaborator Jerome Devoise, and stands as a further evolution in an artistic journey spanning over thirty years.

The first single taken from the album, "Look At Us", shows the band in explosive form: a track driven by an obsessive guitar riff and overwhelming energy. "'Look At Us' is simply a bomb!" commented co-founder Darius Keeler. "With unsettling lyrics that I read as a reflection on the distorted world we live in, I think it's one of our best singles ever." The track comes with a video directed by Maxim Kelly, who opted for a black-and-white, documentary-style aesthetic to evoke a "southern gothic" atmosphere. "Since the song is about lies and deception," Kelly explained, "I wanted the visual language to embody those same ideas too, playing on the trust we normally place in documentary footage. The result is a kind of meta-commentary in which the medium itself becomes the message."

“Undefinable” is perhaps the word that best sums up Archive's career. On their musical rollercoasters, the most disparate sounds have been picked up and recombined, moving across styles while following a common thread. Their music carries a genuinely progressive attitude, geared towards blending the most disparate influences by recombining pop, rock, electronica, orchestration and trip-hop. This free, experimental spirit, at times ambitious, has led the group to compose works of real value, which curiously found little following back home in England, yet captured the attention of listeners across the continent. So, by taking apart and reassembling stylistic elements to combine them in new ways, occasionally returning to the fold of their own origins, and at other times drifting noticeably away from it, Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths' Archive have carved out their own thoroughly personal niche.
