Twenty years after its release, Amy Winehouse's masterpiece will be reissued in several editions enriched with previously unreleased demos, B-sides and the concert held at the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 2007.
On 27 October 2006, “Back To Black“ was released, the album that made the English singer's name, turning her into one of the most recognisable and influential voices of her generation. To celebrate the record's twentieth anniversary, Island Records will release a series of new special editions on 23 October.
The reissues will come with liner notes penned by producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, as well as handwritten lyrics by the singer and previously unseen photographs taken by Mischa Richter and Alex Lake. "Getting to see that level of talent, passion, humour, honesty and love for what she was creating up close was a gift," Remi recalled.
The most comprehensive editions, available as triple vinyl and triple CD, will include the original album, four previously unreleased demos, B-sides, tracks already featured on the earlier deluxe edition, and the recording of the concert Winehouse played at the Paradiso in Amsterdam on 8 February 2007, during the "Back To Black" tour. An alternate cover will also be used for the occasion.
Here is the tracklist for the triple vinyl and the additional content of the triple CD edition:
The CD edition will also include Valerie, To Know Him Is To Love Him, You Know I'm No Good featuring Ghostface Killah and Some Unholy War (Down Tempo).
