The cancellation of the Kanye West and Travis Scott shows at the RCF Arena has brought down the entire Pulse of Gaia Festival. Organizers have in fact announced the cancellation of the remaining dates scheduled for July 4, 5 and 11 as well, sealing the fate of the festival's 2026 edition.
This scraps the three electronic music dates that were set to bring some of the biggest names on the international EDM scene to Reggio Emilia, including Swedish House Mafia, the Chainsmokers and other acts on the bill.
The decision comes after particularly troubled weeks for the event, originally launched as the Hellwatt Festival and later rebranded as the Pulse of Gaia Festival following a change in management and the departure of artistic director Victor Yari Milani. With the electronic dates now cancelled, the festival is being scrapped in its entirety.
Attempting to explain the reasons behind the halt was Andrea Cattini, president of C.Volo S.p.A., the company that runs the RCF Arena: "We are deeply sorry for the decision we had to make. Our goal has always been to create quality events for the audience, and until the very last moment we looked for a solution that would allow us to confirm the concerts on these three dates, but following a series of complex assessments, we are unable to proceed. We trust people will understand this decision, which we reached due to circumstances beyond our control. We thank all the professionals involved for their support and commitment over these months".
Refund procedures have also been set in motion for ticket holders. Ticketmaster and Vivaticket have already announced the refund process for tickets to the July 17 and 18 dates, while instructions for the July 4, 5 and 11 events will be sent to buyers by email by June 12. Refund requests can be submitted until July 19, 2026.
