A tour and a box set for the Stranglers' fortieth anniversary

Compiranno quarant’anni il prossimo settembre gli Stranglers, storico gruppo punk rock britannico nato nel Surrey nel 1974.

Per festeggiare, la band di J. J. Burnell pubblicherà il 25 marzo per Rhino Records/ Parlophone un boxset celebrativo, intitolato “Giants & Gems”. Undici i dischi contenuti nella raccolta: tutti i sei album in studio del periodo ’77-’82, da “Rattus Norvegicus” a “La Folie” oltre al leggendario “Live At The Hope & Anchor” e alla raccolta di rarità “Off The Beaten Track” (qui pubblicata per la prima volta su CD), senza tralasciare gli album in studio più recenti, “Suite XVI” e “Giants”.

L’uscita del boxset sarà accompagnata da un tour mondiale che toccherà anche l’Italy per due date:

– 11 aprile – Vox Club – Nonantola (MO)

– 12 aprile – New Age – Roncade (TV)
