Less than a year after the release of their last album “1982”, A Certain Ratio are back, one of the institutions of the most experimental strand of new wave. Their new record, the thirteenth studio album of their career, is titled “It All Comes Down To This”. Produced by Dan Carey, boss of the Speedy Wunderground label (already behind the boards for Black Midi, Kae Tempest and Black Country, New Road), the album will be out on April 19 via Mute. “We wrote the album while the world was in turmoil, and it still is - commented Martin Moscrop - If you think about climate change, corporate warfare, the environment, Trump in power, Johnson, the war in Ukraine, Israel and Palestine, it really all comes down to this. It's probably the most political album we've ever written.”
Below is the video for the first single anticipating the release, the title track “All Comes Down To This”.
