As already announced a few days ago, Newdress have confirmed the release of their new album “ADE [A DANCE ETERNAL]”, the fourth of their career, due out next autumn on the Vrec Music Label.
After a few years away, the Brescia-based outfit are back on the scene, among the most representative acts of Italy's nu goth/new-wave scene.
Having released the singles “Here We Are” and “The Voices [Can Kill Me]” in recent weeks, a third track now arrives, “Shelter [The Night for Us]”, for which Onda Rock has the exclusive first look at the video, directed by Riccardo Scalvenzi of Manifesto Collective.
This is how the band described the content of the new track: «The song portrays nightclubs as shelters for those who feel different or out of place. Spaces suspended between music and emotion, where people find welcome, identity and the freedom to be themselves. "SHELTER (THE NIGHT FOR US)" is a tribute to those places and those nights, which amid fog, storms and adventures have offered comfort and a sense of belonging to an entire generation of restless souls».
Newdress currently consist of Stefano Marzoli (vocals/synthesizers), Jordan Vianello (drums), Andrea Zagna (bass/electric guitar). Active since 2008, they have released 3 albums and 4 EPs, blending new wave and electronic music, often collaborating with prestigious artists. For the historic Brescia outfit, this marks a return to the Vrec roster following the EP “Novanta” and the album “Falso Negativo”, dating back to 2017.
