A Perfect Circle – "Starless"
With the European tour approaching, which will also stop in Italy (a single date on June 13 for the 2026 edition of the Ferrara Summer Festival), A Perfect Circle unveil a new single. Following "Kindred", released two years ago as part of the project celebrating Maynard James Keenan's 60th birthday, Billy Howerdel's band has now released "Starless" (with Josh Freese back behind the drums). Check out the video below.
Nothing But Thieves – "Evolution"
Nothing But Thieves have announced their fifth studio album, "Stray Dogs", out September 25. The record arrives three years after "Dead Club City" and was preceded by the single "Evolution", already available (listen to it below).
Arab Strap – "You You You"
Nearly thirty years after their debut, Arab Strap have announced their new album "Half-Told Tales", out September 4 via Rock Action Records. It's the ninth studio effort from the Scottish duo made up of Aidan Moffat and Malcolm Middleton. Alongside the announcement, the band has released the first single "You You You", accompanied by an official video. Arab Strap themselves describe the track as a kind of collective invocation against contemporary disillusionment: a song written to remind us that, despite the climate of distrust, precariousness and alienation fuelled by economic crises, wars, media manipulation and personal hardships, there's still room for solidarity and hope.
Xiu Xiu – "In Heaven"
Xiu Xiu have announced a new album inspired by "Eraserhead", the debut film by David Lynch. The record, titled "Eraserhead Xiu Xiu", will be released on July 10 via Polyvinyl Record Co., and grows out of the live show of the same name that the US band has been performing for a while now, dedicated precisely to the American director's visionary cult film.
The Strokes – "Falling Out Of Love"
The Strokes keep building anticipation for their new album "Reality Awaits" with a surprise second preview track. After "Going Shopping", released in early April, the New York band has now shared "Falling Out Of Love", a sprawling ballad running over six minutes in which Julian Casablancas alternates singing and spoken word, working in more intimate, drawn-out tones than the first single.
Charli XCX – "Rock Music"
“I think the dance floor is dead/ So now we're making rock music”. Charli XCX is back with the new single "Rock Music", released just hours after her friend The Dare played it during the opening set of PinkPantheress's Brooklyn show. Made with collaborators A.G. Cook and Finn Keane, aka EasyFun, the track opens with an abrasive guitar riff as Charli launches in: “Me and my friends/ We go out, we take pictures/ We make stuff together, and sometimes we cry/ We kiss each other, real incestuous vibes”. The release came with a black-and-white video showing her wandering the city streets and smoking beside huge piles of cigarettes.
