The Cure – “A Fragile Thing”
Two weeks after the return of the Cure with "Alone", their first new song in 16 years, Robert Smith and co. release another single, "A Fragile Thing".
Released today ahead of their upcoming 14th studio album, "Songs Of A Lost World", "A Fragile Thing" shows a band on fine form, with a piano intro building tension and a guitar line that's classic Cure, giving the track a rock edge. Robert Smith had this to say about the new song: "'A Fragile Thing' is a song inspired by the difficulty we all face when choosing between mutually exclusive needs, and how we deal with the futile regret that can follow those choices, however certain we are that we made the right ones... it can often be very hard to be the person you truly need to be".
