On the day he was born, Ronnie Peterson was celebrating victory at the French Grand Prix behind the wheel of his gleaming Lotus. Music had long been an unfamiliar yet constant companion to him. Friends taught him that you can live a day without bread, but not without beauty. And it was one of them who first played him a Paul Simon cassette in the sweltering heat of a Milanese summer: nothing was ever the same again. Struck down on the road to Duluth by the Dylanesque cult after a concert in 1991, he developed an unhealthy passion for singer-songwriters of every degree of introversion. Then, one day, browsing the shelves of a record store, he was drawn in by the cover of one of the CDs playing in the listening station: it was Eels' “Electro-Shock Blues”, and for him it was the epiphany of indie music. Pages left half-read have always won out over those finished to the end, so he decided to combine his love of writing with his love of music. Still searching for fragments of beauty among the tracks of some record. An Onda Rock staff writer since 2003, he has written various monographs and reviews, as well as interviews, specials, live reports and milestone features, contributing to the creation and development of the OndaDrops project. From 2011 to 2014 he hosted the radio show America The Beautiful on Radio Sonora.
