Born on the last day of 1972, a mountain dweller relocated to the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines between Parma and Aulla; employed for work, a sports journalist by passion, cardiopathic by genetics. Very attached to his family, he lives with his mother, an opera lover, his sister, his personal guardian goddess, his brother, a blacksmith with a kind soul, and the little dog Shiva, goddess of chaos in the garden.Struck at 15 by Hendrix's riffs, at 17 by "Venus De Milo" by M. Davis and "Stella Mae" by J.L. Hooker, he listens to huge amounts of music every day (strictly on headphones), trying to discover new records to fall in love with, preferring to fill in historical gaps rather than chase after the new things of the moment. He adores (in no particular order): blues and its crossovers, T. Buckley, N. Drake, T. Hardin, F. Neil, P. Ochs, M. Lanegan, J. Cash, J. Hendrix, M. Davis, K. Jarrett, C. Mingus, C. Baker, L. Tenco, P. Ciampi, F. de Andrè, V. Capossela, CCCP, CSI, B. Gibbons, Lalli, S. Kubrick, J. Cassavetes, M. Scorsese, R. Rossellini, W. Allen, J. Jarmusch, Van Gogh, Magritte, Caravaggio, J. Fante, C. Bukowski, E. De Luca, J. K. Jerome, A. Pazienza, Totò, Monty Python and the Simpsons. He loves summer, lazing around, eating, watching sports on TV, pizza, ice cream, going for walks and playing with Shiva. He hates shirts, ties, winter, snow, Paris Hilton, spoiled rich daddy's boys, show-offs, and braggarts. He's trying to listen to all (really all) 600 essential Blow Up records. He's waiting for inspiration to get back to painting and drawing. He's trying to make it to the end of the month a bit more comfortably.
