Tommaso Paradiso

Tommaso Paradiso is a singer-songwriter, writer and musician, born in Rome on 25 June 1983. He grew up in the city's Prati district, attended a classical liceo, and later graduated in philosophy. In 2009 he founded Thegiornalisti together with Marco Primavera and Marco Antonio Musella, debuting in September 2011 with the album "Vol.1", followed a few months later by "Vecchio" and, in 2014, by "Fuoricampo". In 2015 Paradiso landed his first major collaboration: he co-wrote "Luca lo stesso", the chart-topping single by Luca Carboni.

In 2016, with Thegiornalisti, he released "Completamente Sold Out", a platinum-certified album that won widespread acclaim and several awards, including ones at the Rockol Awards, the Coca Cola Onstage Awards and the Wind Music Awards, as well as being named PMI's best new act of 2016.

On 21 June 2017 "Riccione" came out, a single that passed a million YouTube views in under a week and entered the radio airplay top 20 as the week's highest new entry. The track also went on to earn a fourth platinum certification, becoming the undisputed anthem of the summer of 2017. Also in 2017, Tommaso Paradiso co-wrote the single "L'esercito del selfie" by Takagi & Ketra feat. Lorenzo Fragola and Arisa, as well as co-authoring some of the era's biggest hits: "Mi hai fatto fare tardi" by Nina Zilli, "Partiti adesso" by Giusy Ferreri, "Autunno" by Noemi and "Una vita che ti sogno" by Gianni Morandi (2018).

2018 brought a new partnership with Takagi and Ketra on the track "Da sola/In the Night", recorded with Elisa, and on 21 September came LOVE, the platinum-certified album Tommaso Paradiso released with Thegiornalisti, followed by a tour of Italy's major arenas drawing over 250,000 fans and a landmark concert at the Circo Massimo in Rome (7 September 2019). It would also prove to be his swan song at the helm of the band.

On January 18, 2019, “Stanza singola” was released, the title track of the new album by Franco126, co-written and performed together with the artist, who returns to collaborate once again with Takagi & Ketra on “La luna e la gatta”, alongside Jovanotti and Calcutta. With Calcutta himself, Paradiso writes “Tequila” and “San Miguel” for Loredana Bertè.

On September 25, 2019, “Non avere paura” was released, followed on January 10, 2020 by “I nostri anni”. A series of other singles followed: “Ma lo vuoi capire?”, “Ricordami”, “Magari no”, “La Stagione del Cancro e del Leone”, “Lupin” and “Tutte le notti”, which paved the way for the debut solo album “Space Cowboy”, released on March 4, 2022. From March 25 to May 4, the Space Cowboy Tour took place, rescheduled in Italian theaters.

On April 26, 27 and 28, “Sulle nuvole” hit cinemas, Tommaso Paradiso's directorial debut, a story of love and music starring actors Marco Cocci and Barbara Ronchi. The film is a production by Warner Bros. Entertainment Italy and Cinemaundici. On July 9, the Tommy Summer Tour 2022 kicked off with a setlist made up exclusively of all his biggest hits.

In 2023 Tommaso Paradiso returns with his second album, “Sensazione stupenda”.
