Linkin Park

Linkin Park are an American band formed in Los Angeles in 1996 by Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Rob Bourdon, later joined by Joe Hahn, Dave "Phoenix" Farrell and Chester Bennington. With a style blending nu metal, alternative rock and electronic and hip-hop influences, they defined the new millennium with a profound impact on the global music scene.

Their debut album, "Hybrid Theory" (2000), was a commercial phenomenon and marked their rise to stardom with singles such as "In The End", "Crawling" and "One Step Closer", defined by intense lyrics exploring themes of pain and alienation. The album earned diamond certification in the United States, cementing them as one of nu metal's flagship bands.

Their second album, "Meteora" (2003), confirmed their success with iconic tracks such as "Numb", "Somewhere I Belong" and "Breaking The Habit", consolidating their fame and sharpening their sound.

In the years that followed, Linkin Park kept experimenting and evolving, gradually moving away from nu metal. With "Minutes To Midnight" (2007), they introduced a more alternative sound, as shown by tracks like "What I've Done" and "Shadow Of The Day". "A Thousand Suns" (2010) marked a turning point, presenting itself as a concept album with strong political and social content, exploring themes of conflict and humanity in songs such as "The Catalyst" and "Waiting For The End".

With "Living Things" (2012) and "The Hunting Party" (2014), they kept experimenting, bringing back some rock and punk elements, while "One More Light" (2017), the last album with Chester Bennington before his death, revealed a more pop and introspective sound. Tracks such as "Heavy" embody the band's new approach to music and lyrics, also marking a period of deep personal fragility for Bennington.

After Bennington's tragic death in 2017, the remaining members turned to individual projects, leaving the door open for a possible future for Linkin Park. Their legacy, built on innovation and a deep emotional connection with their audience, continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.

Linkin Park's long-awaited comeback began on September 5, 2024, with the release of the single "The Emptiness Machine", which introduced the new lineup: alongside Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn, the band welcomed Emily Armstrong as co-vocalist and Colin Brittain on drums. The singles "Heavy Is The Crown" and "Over Each Other" followed, the latter built around Emily Armstrong's lead vocals, and together with "The Emptiness Machine" they feature on the hugely anticipated new album "From Zero", out November 15 and celebrated with the From Zero World Tour.
