ANDREA CHIMENTI - Del mio cuore in fondo – Collection Vol. 1

The celebrations for the fortieth anniversary of Andrea Chimenti's career kick off with the first chapter of the project titled "Del mio cuore in fondo", a selection of some of his classic songs, completely re-recorded and rearranged. This is a project worth far more than a traditional greatest hits, far more than a simple, cold retrospective: it shows the Florentine singer-songwriter's firm intention not to rest on the laurels he's earned over time, but rather to graft his compositions onto the present day, enriching them with new shades, thanks also to the participation of numerous — and prestigious — friends who took part in the recordings.

Gianni Maroccolo plays bass on "Amami" and "Maestro Strabilio", Mauro Ermanno Giovanardi is the co-star of the duet "Yuri", Spanish singer-songwriter Tori Sparks lends grace to the reworking of "A Stain in The Moonlight", and cult musician and producer Shawn Lee guests on the new version of "Garcia". What emerges is a musical journey that starts from the origins of Andrea's artistic path, when his name was inextricably linked to that of Moda, and reaches all the way to his most recent productions, spanning his entire career. A moving, refined tracklist capable of satisfying at least two generations of listeners, opened by two songs taken from Moda's repertoire, "Canto pagano" and "L'uomo dei sogni".

The album's artistic production and arrangements were handled by Andrea himself, in collaboration with Francesco Cappiotti, an expert multi-instrumentalist known for being part of the Verona-based project The Last Drop Of Blood. The recording sessions also featured former Moda members Fabio Galavotti and Fabio Chiappini, guitarist Massimo Fantoni, drummer Giorgio Cedolin, and Andrea's son, Francesco Chimenti. "Del mio cuore in fondo" will not be available on streaming platforms for the time being, but will be distributed exclusively in physical format, both on CD and on 180-gram black vinyl, alongside three exclusive editions produced in gold, silver and red.
