Immersed in a dense, dark fluid, where light and shadow move slowly, following the rhythm of an ancient breath. A practice of reflection and study that continues the work of the Tuscan artist (Limbo, Kinetix, Noise Trade Company), never tired of stripping away and digging into sound, in search of an essential balance of perfection.
"Voices" was conceived as a performance before it was ever a record. An act of study to delve into the all-encompassing, dark power of the human voice. Aided only by a loop station, Becuzzi seeks a primitive, shamanic spiritual energy capable of bringing both listener and performer into a state of hypnosis and trance.
Across the six compositions takes shape a ring of low fire and dense smoke, amid distortions, echoes and reverb (never pushed to extremes in the production) where man's past and present fold into one another. The artist's intent is not merely anthropological, but rather an attempt to join an ancient tradition still present within our deepest human architectures.
A union of past mysticism and modern technology that transcends mere experimentation and grants us a moment of stillness between different realities.
