2562 - Fever

2011 (When in doubt)
techno-dub

A notably promising debut, "Aerial" (2008), there followed a less brilliant album, "Unbalance" (2009). Dave Huismans showed he had no intention of resting on the unexpected success of his debut, but wanted to keep searching for new directions for his music.

The recent "Fever" distances itself from everything 2562 has offered up until now: partly because it was conceived as a concept album, but above all because on most of the tracklist the needle tips inexorably toward techno rather than dub, which is relegated to a secondary role.

In short, less depth and more motion: for this writer, that's not the right recipe to follow. The appointment is postponed to the next release.
