Un ottimo esordio (“Scribble Mural Comic Journal”), un disco irrisolto (“Ashes Grammar”) e, adesso, un’opera sempre più interessata alla creazione di texture oniriche, nella quale la sensazione di ariosità è ancora più abbacinante. Sostanzialmente, queste composizioni si muovono in territori electro-gaze-pop (“Fall In Love”, “Drink Drank Drunk”, “Violet Mary Haunts Me Or Loss Of Forgetfulness On Renfrew Street”), qualche volta in versione post-punk innodica (“Sigh, Inhibitionist (Come All Day With Me), qualche altra con tratti rock più evidenti (“How Does Somebody Say When They Like You?”). La sintesi di lieve fisicità e malinconica evanescenza, che rappresenta l’essenza del loro sound, trova in “Calling it Love Isn’t Love (Don’t Fall in Love)” il momento di massimo fulgore.
Un disco godibilissimo, ma “Scribble Mural Comic Journal” resta ancora insuperato.
